YUCK!

Happy 4th.
It's 9:41 p.m. and I'm just home from the
grocery store. Fun.
Have you ever gone to the grocery on
the 4th of July 'round 9:15 p.m. in
the evening? Well, I guess all the
last minute people are there or the
losers. I felt like a loser as
perused the aisles. No one was
hardly there. Except, as I said
those last minute beer runners or
those with no life. Me the latter.
4th of July is my favorite holiday.
And yet I'm home. I can hear the
fireworks going off as I write this.
I guess I could go out on the front
porch and sit in the fog and watch
the show. I feel bored.
Usually, we, as in the hubbie and I
go downtown in our town to look around
at stuff. They shut off downtown on
the 4th. All kinds come out. All kinds
of booths of this, that and the other
to look out. Beer, food, bands, cloggers,
square dancers, everyone out with there
red, white and blue.
Didn't go this year. It was raining when
we go this morning. Hubbie didn't seem
very enthused. We stopped at our local pub
about 2 p.m. and had a drink. Then went
to a nice restaurant for lunch.
Then to a cookout. Had a little fun
and decided to come home around 6 something
to let the dogs out. It started raining again.
Thunder. Lightning. I thought we would go back
but no. So in my buzz I laid down and watched
who knows what. I guessed I somewhat napped.
And now I'm up and bored.
